RE: IQ PANEL BATTERY REPLACEMENT REMINDER
Overview:
As a reminder, the IQ Panel includes a modern Lithium-ion battery for backup power. All battery types (including Lithium-ion) generally require periodic replacement. Proper care must be followed when replacing and disposing of the battery. Do not use sharp objects to remove the battery, if the battery is difficult to remove please call Qolsys for further instructions at (855) 476-5797 x 2. For standard replacement and disposal procedures please refer to the IQ Panel Battery Replacement Quick Guide
(screenshot below), the published IQ Panel Installation Manual (page 100), and the battery disposal locator website. Do not dispose of the battery in a household trashcan. Please take the battery to a proper battery disposal center which can be located using the link below.
