Security or Life-Safety Sensor has a Malfunction, Failure or Offline Alert

If a sensor is Offline or Failure alert also showing a ? on the IQ Panel status, this means the sensor supervisory timeout has exceeded the 4, 12 or 24 hour limit.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Run a sensor test and make sure the signal is at least Fair (2 packets)
  2. Trip the device
  3. Replace batteries on the sensor
  4. Make sure the device is not mounted on any metal surface, or large metal objects blocking the signal to the IQ Panel
  5. Move the device closer to the panel
  6. If using IQ Panel2, check the orientation of the antenna is hanging down to the right behind the wall
