RE: SENSOR MALFUNCTION AFTER UPDATING TO 1.4.2 SOFTWARE
Overview:
In rare instances, after updating to the 1.4.2 software, the IQ Panel may stop responding to 319.5 RF
sensor activity. If not addressed all RF sensors will go into “malfunction” at the end of the programmed
supervisory time, i.e., DW 24 hours, Smoke Detectors 4 hours (unless dealers edited default supervisory
times).
Resolution:
To resolve this issue all RF sensors need to be deleted and re-added to the IQ Panel. This can be done remotely through the Alarm.com Dealer Website or locally at the panel.
From the Alarm.com Dealer Website:
1) Go to AirFX Remote Toolkit > Upload/Download Device Settings > Save/Restore Customer Backup then click “Backup Now”
2) Once the Backup has been completed go to AirFX Remote Toolkit > Delete A Sensor and select all the RF sensors in the list, then click “Send Command”
3) Re-add the sensors to the panel by going to AirFX Remote Toolkit > Upload/Download Device Settings > Save/Restore Customer Backup. Then click the “I want to restore settings to current panel” radio button and the “Sensor List” check box, then click “Apply”
4) Verify that the sensors are working by tripping each one
From the Panel:
1) Go to Settings > Installation > Security Sensors > Delete Sensor
2) Select all the RF sensors in the list, touch “Delete”, then touch “Yes”
3) Follow the normal “Auto Learn Sensor” process to re-add each sensor
4) Verify that the sensors are working by tripping each one
If sensors are not registering activity at the panel after deleting and re-adding them then a complete power down is necessary. To do this go to Settings > Power Down and touch “OK”. The panel will power down completely and the LED buttons on the front of the panel will turn off. Once completely off, unplug the transformer and plug it back in to restart the panel. After the panel turns on verify that the sensors are working by tripping each one.
