RE: 4.5.0 HARDWIRE MOTION DETECTOR PROGRAMMING

Overview:
We have recently discovered that IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub, or IQ4 NS panel with IQ Hardwire PowerG modules (PG9WLSHW8 / PG9HRDW8) connected that are updated from v4.4.x to v4.5.0 may encounter an issue where the programming of hardwired motion detectors inadvertently changed and may generate a malfunction within 24 hours of updating the panel firmware.

In addition, it is possible that wireless PowerG Motion sensors that support high-traffic shutdown have had the value set for high-traffic shutdown changed. It is recommended that you validate and correct the settings.

In an abundance of caution, we have taken steps to restrict IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub, and IQ4 NS panels with IQ Hardwire PowerG modules from updating to v4.5.0. We will be releasing v4.5.1 soon, which will address this concern. At that time, we will remove the restriction on updating, and those panels will be able to update to
v4.5.1.

If you have an IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub, or IQ4 NS panel with IQ Hardwire PowerG modules (PG9WLSHW8 /PG9HRDW8) that have already been updated to v4.5.0 and are seeing undesirable behavior, please contact tech support, who will be able to walk you through corrective actions.

Note: This TSB does not affect IQ Hardwire PowerG modules (PG9WLSHW8 / PG9HRDW8) or wireless PowerG motions being newly installed on a panel already updated to v4.5.0.
