IQ PANEL 2 & 2 PLUS - 2.6.1 SOFTWARE UPDATE
RELEASE NOTES & UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS
New Features:
• Added a new motion detector Sensor Group (45) - Away/Stay Instant Non Follower
• Re-introduced SD Card upgrades with auto-push of “Firmware2” patch from Alarm.com if needed (Wi-Fi
connected panels only)
• Now compliant with BS-8243 standards (UK)
Fixes/Improvements:
• Fixed an issue related to SRF sensors identified in TSB 210705
• Stability improvements to dual-path communication connectivity to the Alarm.com backend
• Improved push notification of message center messages while on Photo Frame screensaver
• Improved boot-up after software update
• PowerG activation LED can now be enabled/disabled on previously paired PowerG devices
• Minor improvements to Spanish and Finnish language translations
• Improved Doorbell camera streaming/push notifications from the lock screen
• Alarm.com backend now displays username when arming/disarming from PowerG keypads KP-140, KP-141 &
KP-241 with a code
• Fixed an issue with a new improvement in 2.6.0 where silent and audible panics triggered from the Panel are
able to report as separate CID codes to the central station
• Fixed an issue introduced in 2.6.0 related to Daily and Weekly Communication Tests signaling to the Central
Station
Update Instructions:
Compatibility Note: Your IQ Panel must be on software version 2.0.1 or higher and connected to Wi-Fi to install
this update wirelessly. Panels running 2.5.0 & 2.5.1 must be updated to 2.5.3 first, then they can be updated
directly to 2.6.1
1- Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch “Settings"
2- Touch “Advanced Settings”
3- Enter a valid installer code (default is 1111)
4- Touch "Upgrade Software"
5 -Touch “Patch Tag” and enter the patch iqpanel2.6.1 then touch OK
6- Touch "Upgrade Using Network" (panel must be connected to Wi-Fi). Update will download and install
7- Once complete touch "OK" to reboot the panel. DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN. The update process will
take approximately 5 minutes. After the panel reboots the home screen will appear and the LED will turn green.
