What is dealer lockdown?
- Dealer Lockdown is a feature that is introduced on software 4.6.1 where dealers lock devices to the current dealer on the panel; the device will not enroll on a panel with different Dealer Code.
How to enable it?
- Settings > Advance Settings (Dealer Code) > Installations > Dealer Settings > Enable "PowerG + Dealer Lockdown"
How to identify if a sensor is on lockdown?
- An "Unsupported Dealer Code" message will show up on the screen when performing an auto enrollment.
What to do if the sensor is on lockdown?
- Resetting the sensor or resetting the panel will not allow you to enroll the sensor back into the system.
- Solution is to replace the sensor or obtain the previous dealer code.
NOTE:
- Once the feature is enabled, all future and current sensors will be locked to the current dealer code.
- Turning off the feature will remove the lockdown for all the sensors
- If dealer code is changed while lockdown is enabled, all the sensors will receive the new dealer code. (It can take up to 24hrs)
- Ensure all the devices are communicating with the panel before enabling/disabling the lock down.
