IQ Remote PowerG:
Enrollment over Wi-Fi:
- Use the following steps to enroll an IQ Remote Power G over Wi-Fi
- Step 1: Power up the IQ Remote.
- Step 2: Select the desired Wi-Fi network’s SSID and enter the corresponding password (if required).
- This pairs the IQ Remote to the home Wi-Fi network (ensure the IQ Panel is also connected to the same network).
- Step 3: On the IQ 4/IQ 4 Hub panel:
- Navigate to: Settings > Advance Settings > Enter Installer (1111) or Dealer (2222) Code > Installation > Devices > Wi-Fi Devices > IQ Remote Device, then select “Pair”.
- Step 4: On the IQ Remote Power G, press the “WIFI Pair” button to pair over Wi-Fi.
- Note: You may notice that the IQ Remote Power G begins a firmware update, this will always occur when the IQ Remote Power G is using an outdated firmware as firmware updates are always pushed from the IQ Panel to the IQ Remote Power G automatically.
- The IQ Remote Power G will reboot after updating.
- Now the IQ Panel will show an IQ Remote Power G paired with the system, pressing the edit button allows you to change parameters.
Enrollment over PowerG:
- Use the following steps to enroll an IQ Remote Power G over Power G
- Step 1: Power up the IQ Remote.
- Step 2: Ignore the Wi-Fi connections on the left, as we are not going to use that.
- Step 3: On the IQ 4/IQ 4 Hub panel:
- Navigate to: Settings > Advance Settings > Enter Installer (1111) or Dealer (2222) Code > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Auto Learn Sensor.
- Step 4: On the IQ Remote Power G, press the “PowerG Pair” button to pair over Power G.
- The panel will now show the enrollment parameters including the Power G ID, Sensor Name and the ability to enable/disable voice prompts.
- Step 5: Select “Add New”.
- Note: You may notice that the IQ Remote Power G begins to enroll and may take a few moments to complete. The IQ Remote Power G will reboot after updating.
- Now the IQ Panel will show an IQ Remote Power G paired with the system, pressing the edit button allows you to change parameters.
Firmware Upgrades
- It is highly recommended to check for firmware upgrades immediately after enrollment.
- Firmware upgrades can be performed by patch tag, or blank tag.
- Note: Updates can be performed while connected with Wi-Fi
- To perform an update while connected to the panel with Power G:
- The IQ Remote Power G must be within range of the IQ Panel’s access point (within 20 feet).
- Note: the panel automatically enables the panel access point in this situation.
